Our Eaglecrest Alaska Missions Bible Camp experience is designed for the group that is ready to serve children. This experience requries advanced preparation and training, given that your group will provide full leadership in organizing and leading a one week of Bible camp / Vacation Bible School program for children. Typically, your group will arrive on a Saturday, spending Sunday in preparation and community contact, and then lead the Bible camp from Monday through Friday. The Bible camp generally begins around 10:00 am and concludes at 3:00 pm. During this time, your group will lead worship, teach Bible lessons, organize crafts, and lead games and activities. The host church takes care of lunch, but your group does the rest. This is a great opportunity for groups to further embrace and develop their leadership potential. Time for advanced preparation and training is key, given that the students (not adults) will be expected to take the lead with most of these leadership components. One of the best aspects of this experience is the direct implementation of the teaching and training that your students receive while participating in the Eaglecrest Alaska Missions ministry. Often, students will learn a leadership concept one night and discover opportunities to engage that leadership principle the next day, as they serve children through the Bible camp experience. This medium level intensity trip is not recommended for younger groups, unless the students have been through student leadership training and demonstrate strong spiritual maturity.
